On September 4, 2026, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) published a notice in the Federal Register. It lists the Fiscal Year 2026 Housing Trust Fund amount going to each state and territory.

The Housing Trust Fund, often shortened to HTF, was created by the Housing and Economic Recovery Act of 2008. HUD sends the money to state governments each year. States then use it to help build and keep affordable rental homes.
